Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the Three Represents, and the Scientific Outlook on Development are guiding ideas and theories advanced by successive Chinese leaders. After Xi Jinping became General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, he quickly introduced the concept of the ?China Dream? at the National Museum of China in Beijing on November 29, 2012. Xi later repeatedly described this dream as a ?dream of a strong nation,? aimed at realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Its content includes national prosperity, national rejuvenation, people?s happiness, and social harmony. At the level of strategic deployment, the dream seeks to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects, comprehensively deepen reform, comprehensively advance rule of law, and comprehensively strengthen party discipline. The concept of the China Dream has attracted wide attention and generated many questions and interpretations, including what the dream means, what impact the dream of a strong nation will have on the international community, whether the goal of becoming a strong nation can be achieved smoothly, whether China?s 1.3 billion people can realize this dream, and what obstacles the China Dream may encounter in practice.
